About Bead Soup

Bead Soup is located in Savage MD. Since we opened our doors we have become known in the DC and Baltimore Metropolitan areas as a friendly whimsical store with a little bit of everything. We offer a full selection of seed beads, gemstones and agates beading supplies in addition to hosting classes and selling bead kits. Bead Soup not only offers premium beading classes, but instruction in needle felting, PMC and Shrinkets. Our guest instructors include local masters in their own medium, as well as nationally and internationally known bead designers and beading book authors! We often hold trunk shows with different artists to promote their work that might be in different mediums that we don’t normally have such as bead embroidery, metal work, resin cabochons and traveling bead shows.

This beaded bicone has almost a 70’s vibe with it’s big flower motif that goes all the way around your beaded bead. This bead is 1.5”x1.25” and will make a nice pendant or center piece to any beaded rope.

This project is perfect for the advanced beginner and above. Prior knowledge of reading step-by-step instructions and following diagrams will be very useful when following this pattern. It has increases and decreases around a wooden form. All of Bead Soup projects are created with Miyuki seed beads and Delicas and our sample was beaded with 6lb Fireline. Thread and needle are not included in your kit and we did not experiment with other thread and/or needles so we are unsure of the outcome if you chose to use something other than what we used.

With this purchase you will receive printed instructions and enough beads to created one Beaded Bicone.

These petite flower arrangements will remind you of a flower arrangement that you can pick yourself at a farmers market. The flowers look fresh and each flower arrangement is different and each is wrapped in brown paper and sealed with a gold star.

Each flower arrangement has 10 different flowers in all shapes, sizes and colors. Each flower stalk is four inches talk. Each includes 5 stalks of what we consider greenery too. Each is topped with either a green pearl or a green crystal and these stalks are three and four inches.

The colorways are based upon the large flower in the bouquet. The metal milk can is used as a display feature and is not part of the purchase. You are making a purchase for the flower bouquet only

It’s just a little fob with a chubby little candy corn and it’s just in time for Halloween!

The small fobs work up so quickly and once done can be made into whatever you want them to be. We always attach them to the fobs but I’ve seen a lot made into ornaments and even a pendants. Let your imagination guide you.

This fob can be used to hang from a purse, key chain, bead bag or wherever you want it to hang. The metal component is approximately 2 1/4’ long and 1’ wide and the peyote strip is slightly over 2” long.

This strip is done in even count peyote. You will receive a printed word and color chart but you must know how to start and stop the even count peyote because you do not receive these instructions with your kit. The peyote strip is zipped on the back side of the fob which is looped over the D ring. You will also need to know how to zip your even count peyote strip to the fob. We recommend that you not bead tightly for the zip rows which are rows 1-18. This makes zipping much easier.

Thread and needles are not included in your kit but we recommend 6lb Fireline and a size 10 beading needle. That is what our samples are made with though we are confident that substitutions can be made.

In this kit you will receive enough size 11/0 Delicas to create one beaded peyote strip and one metal D Ring.

Please note this is a kit only. There is no finished fob with this purchase

This project is perfect for the advanced beginner and above. You will receive step-by-step instructions with diagrams to create these cute and very addictive spiders. They are great stash busters and can be created in all different colors. Just let your imagination guide you.

Our spiders were created with 6lb Fireline and a size 12 beading needle. We did not experiment with different threads and/or needles so we are unsure of the outcome if you decide to use something other than what we used. Bead Soup projects are created with Miyuki beads and once again we are unsure of the outcome with you decide to use something other than what we used/
