Precious Metal Clay Technique Class on Beads, Bead Caps of Fine Silver

It's a Silver thing!
You will learn to mold, stamp and twist metal clay.
In this technique class we will be texturing, then rolling beads and then forming bead caps!
We will be covering - shapes, textures, cutouts, strengths and uses
Rolling and texturing metal clay
Adjusting depth for the texture sheet
Joining ends for a bead
Drying props for caps and allowing for different sizes
Suitable for beginner to intermediate students, this workshop will cover the following:
Initial design of piece, your personal touch for the outside decoration
Size calculations to allow for shrinkage in the firing of the PMC fine silver clay
Propping wet clay for desired dry outcome
Sanding
Fine tuning details before firing for the best finish after
Included is a handout with photos and notes.
Please note: the handout is not a stand-alone instructional booklet.
A variety of textures and molds will be available for use during class.
Class fee $95,
Tools needed will be available for use in class, as well as molds and textures to choose from.
If you have tools, especially that infamous pink tool box, bring it along!!
We will be working with a 20gm pack of fine silver clay.
Michelle will bring along her case of clay tools and toys for purchase to tempt you!
Pieces will be fired and finished off site and returned to Bead Soup for pick up.
