Let's Make Lentils!Precious Metal Clay Technique Class on Hollow Form!It's a Silver thing! 

There are a couple different styles to achieve the hollow form bead - closed Lentil, closed Charm or open Vessel

 We will work through a 2 part/ dry joining technique, that allows you to make a pendant or lentil bead in class. 

Samples will be available at Bead Soup

Many considerations will be covered in this class - the subject, texture, inclusions, decorating, as well as tips and tricks to achieving a seamless join. 

Preparing a templateSettling a variety of shapesRolling silver clay and thickness considerations when using a texture plate.Drying silver clay with props.Joining clay, wet to dry, dry to dryAdding embellishmentsReinforcing tipsCreating a hollow form. Finishing and sanding prep for FiringDiscussion on Finishing and Firing (which will be done off site and returned to Bead Soup for pick up at a date to be set in class)

Included is a handout with photos and notes.

Please note: the handout is not a stand-alone instructional booklet.

A variety of textures and molds will be available for use during class. 


           
       Class fee $105

Michelle's Basket of Tools (templates, molds, stones, etc - if desired) 

will also be available to tempt you for purchase, 

to add to your tool box stash.

Afternoon session 1pm - 330pm

*Note!! If you are new to metal clay and take the morning class you will be prepared for the afternoon as well, 

both are very success oriented. 

If you are familiar with metal clay the morning can be a refresh,

the afternoon is more technique oriented.

*IF*

you do take both classes - you will receive 5gms extra clay as a bonus!
