Alcohol Ink Class with Laura Hummel
Get playful and fascinated about the versatility, vibrancy, and spontaneity of alcohol inks! We will try them on a variety of substrates using some unusual tools. You will make a small abstract to add tangle like designs. The star of the class is amazing Yupo that is waterproof, super smooth, and will not tear. If you make a mistake it can be wiped clean! You will create a painting on Yupo….perhaps, flowers of other botanicals, abstracts, houses, fish or animals…and just have fun! Negative space will be painted to make our drawings spectacular! Final touches will be to add details with pen and ink.
Each student will make 3-4 pieces depending on the size and complexity of their design.
There is also a $20 supply fee to be paid to Laura the day of class. Please bring cash for your supplies
Depending on student and Laura’s schedule, Laura would love to have a follow up one-two weeks later to discuss finished works or ideas on how to finish the pieces.
