Balance with Cliff Swain Salomon-In Studio
Balance Description
Based on a 1920’s art deco necklace I saw in an auction, this piece came about (by) realizing the need for balancing all the different facets of life.
To make this happen, there is often far more to this balance than what people typically see. Likewise, with this necklace, from a distance, it appears to be almost perfectly symmetrical, but in fact it is not, because of the loop around the center focal.
The piece contains nearly 150 crystals, including bicones, domes, chatons, and rivoli. Nearly 40 Austrian pearls accent various elements.
Stitches used include:
CRAW
RAW
Albion
Peyote
Chenille
Prerequisites:
Must be VERY skilled with CRAW, as it is used extensively throughout the piece.
Skill level: Advanced
Kit cost: $135
Colorways offered include: Scarlet w/ 24kt gold plated beads & red accents, Bermuda Blue w/ pink iris 24kt gold plated beads & blue accents, and Crystal AB with palladium plated beads & black iris accents.
